How about some guy named Bubba opening a joint called
Lord of the Chicken Wings? How about Alphaville Cafe? Doctor Zhivago flower shop. I remember watching Tokyo-ga by Wim Wenders and there's a cafe in Japan called Le Jette and guess who was sitting there? Chris Marker. |

There is a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company that has a chain of seafood restaurants: www.bubbagump.com Here in Atlanta, there used to be a little restaurant called the Atomic Cafe, no doubt named after the documentary of the same name. |

We have one so obvious here in Atlanta, I'm surprised it hasn't come up already: Babbette's, named after "Babbette's Feast". |

Well, I was wondering if somebody was going to come up with Bubbette's Feast. Around here, a "bubbette" is the female version of a bubba (a hopeless redneck). |

On one of the city's oldest and most charming brick streets,
we have a local restaurant named "Rick's on the Bricks" which has a "Casablanca" theme. Appropriately enough, it's a popular hangout for local politicians, as well as state legislators who are visiting from the Capitol. And on a years-ago business trip to Atlanta, GA, my hosts treated me to dinner at Aunt Pittpat's Porch located in Underground Atlanta ... don't know if it's still open, but the food was excellent. - Grey |
