_Cold Mountain_

I (TV) watched (for the second time) this great movie on Sunday
www.imdb.com/title/tt0159365/plotsummary. Although there are many
horrible scenes it's a wonderful love story. And, moreover, I really
enjoyed the great N.C. landscapes and, particularly, the Blue Ridge
Mountains.

I haven't seen it, but if it is on cable, I will make a point to catch
it this week.
I have been really busy and haven't been doing much tv watching.
I know the movie won an abundance of awards.

_Misc._

I got a chinese fortune cookie today: everything will go well with
your home.

Let's hope this is real and that the purchase and move really will go
that well.

I'll keep my fingers crossed!

The house has been empty for four years, so there is much work to do on
it.
I will barely be ready for the real estatenik tomorrow.
I stopped to walmart today and got another chinese meal.
The owners are formerly from Philadelphia and lived not to far from my
part of the city.
The teenage daughter said -- o you are Ukrainian. Those folks are good
athletes.
I laughed and said, WHAT are you blind, we are also intelligent and
quite beautiful.
I sort of embarrassed her, so I told her I was a terrible athlete.

The cookie today said "birds are entangled by their feet and men by
their tongues"
Ok I will let the real estatenik talk and will shut up.

"cause my bills come in to soon, my son gone be two soon
royalty check come in like once in a bluemoon
but I'm getting my doe for doing shows
I made more money on the grind then on the road:--i'm a hustler, Cassidy

Should it read "cause my bills come in too soon, my son gone be too
soon"?

I clipped it but did not transcribe it myself.

The transcriber may not have known the exact words and was going on
sound vs meaning.
On the other hand, it is not uncommon for poets and lyricists to put
homonyms to suggest a dual meaning.
It could also be an affectation.
Some poets and lyricists do that.
A common example: ending plurals with z instead of s.
So technically you are correct, but since it is art I won't guess what
is right or wrong.

Here's a link to a marvelous restaurant in the French Quarter,

I had a jambalaya that was memorable. The commentator all seemed to
enjoy this place.

On a return visit, I'd like to sample the tasso and duck dishes.

I liked the attitude of this place, sort of a honky tonk, with juke box
music. And yet the service was incredible.

I am amused by the fact that a former employee of Coops has his own
restaurant in Edgewood MD.

Clarence's Taste of Baltimore.

Perhaps this is accessible once I move. I've never heard of crab
pretzels. I'll try them though.

did for Motown sound"--Kenny Gamble on the Philadelphia Sound.
