Default Steelhead for supper!!!

My son left me the nicest surprise in the sink a lovely large fish
(about a foot and a half long) and a note "the one that didnt get
away.... enjoy the steelhead mom!" I would like to know the best way
to prepare this special gift. My son is camping so I cant ask him.
Thanks!

That is salmon and we like it baked. A bit of lemon and butter.

A Steelhead is not a salmon. It is part of the trout family. It has more
fish oil than salmon. Poached works very well.

I am so sorry for the error but after fishing for 5 years in AK, I was sure
