Since I was a kid my mother would make brine dill pickles in a 10 gallon
crock pot that we kept in the basement because it was the coolest place in the house. All I remember is that she would fill it with pickles, coldwater, dill weed, salt and garlic and then put a plate on top of it with a weight to hold everything down. I have no clue as to what the ratios, portions or amounts were of any of the above items. If anyone has ever done anything similar to this I'd love to hear from you. Ed |
