Default 2006 Garlic and Red Shallots Advance Order

Hi, we are accepting advance orders for our 2006 Garlic and Red Shallot
harvest. My family has both soft and hardneck garlic available. Good
strains that we have been experimenting with in our garden now for a
few years.

Garlic and Red Shallots cost 7.00 a pound plus shipping. One pound of
Garlic or Red Shallots shipped USPS Priority Mail plus Delivery
Confirmation is about 5.00, or a little more, depending on your zip
code. No beefed up handling charges. Once again, shipping is cost
only.

Our Garlic and Red Shallots are free of any chemical additives. No
chlorine water either, the garden is watered by the rain and our well.

Elsewhere, you'll easily pay 16.00 or more a pound for Certified
Organic Garlic. We don't want the paperwork hassle nor the extra
expense of becoming "Certified Organic".

We respond via email with payment address to people interested in
buying our produce. Checks that hit our Galway, New York post office
box and PAYPAL customers receive an email confirmation that we have
your order.

Harvesting is at the end of August, and shipment is early to mid
September. Notification, including your USPS Delivery Confirmation
tracking number, is sent when we ship your order. Payment envelopes
received after we sell out are refused and returned to sender.
Basically, the early bird gets the worm. Thanks for your interest.

Then why mention it? You realize that this constitutes spam, don't
you? I don't buy ANYthing from spammers, ever. But I do love my
garlic. At least you've done one useful thing, you've reminded me to
plant some garlic.

I didn't realize it at first, but I agree. I would delete it if
possible. Won't happen again. I have to plant mine in Oct. I have
planted in the spring just to get some seed stock for the coming fall.
Good luck with your garlic. Randy

Hey, at least you actually read the group, eh? I wish I knew enough
about the varieties to choose one.....*sigh*....time to do some
research.

There are tons (not quite) of different types to choose from. Do a
little research and read. Nothing lost by giving it a try. Randy

Don't you think that that sounds a bit condescending? Not exactly
appropriate, you know. I mean really, didn't you notice my comment
about research?

To tell the truth, my problem can't be solved by merely reading about
them. In order to select varieties that I'll like best, I need to
taste them. Descriptions of flavor are generally subjective, and ten
people describing the same thing, without reference to each other,
will likely give ten different descriptions.

If only I could find a local source for a bunch of different
varieties. *sigh* The farmer's market is probably going by now,
maybe I should drag myself out of bed early this weekend. If nothing
else, I may be able to find a source through a vendor there.

Bet you could find a local source and or buy a couple heads from your
local store. Won't have some fancy name attached to it but if you like
it, plant it for future harvest. I did this a few years ago and just
called it " Randy Garlic" Condescending to you no, understanding that
growing things can be a bit of a challenge to get started. With
garlic, I plant in Oct and harvest around middle of Aug or later.
That's 10 months of waiting to see what comes from my effort. So I
understand. Randy
