Default Puff Pastry Cookie

Puff Pastry Cookie

Cookies can be cut out in five minutes and baked in ten minutes.

Ingredients:

Puff pastry, thawed but cold
Sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. While the oven preheats, lay a sheet of
thawed
but cold puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface. Sprinkle dough
sheet
generously with sugar. Depending on the occasion, use cookie cutters
to
stamp out dough shapes. Arrange them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet
and
bake until they are a glossy golden brown, about 10 minutes. Serve
these
cookies with fresh or poached fruit, or use buttercream frosting.
Makes 18.

Buttercream Frosting...

Ingredients:

3/4 c. Land O Lakes® butter, softened
6 c. powdered sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. half and half cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 T. light corn syrup

Directions:

Beat butter in large mixer bowl at medium speed until creamy.
Gradually add
powdered sugar and salt alternately with half and half and vanilla,
scraping
bowl often, until well mixed. Stir in corn syrup. Makes 3 cups.
