Peanut Butter Marble Brownies
Servings: 16 bar servings. What you need: Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1/3 cup hershey's® cocoa 3 eggs -- divided 1 1/4 cups sugar -- divided 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 cup reese's peanut butter chips -- divided 1 package cream cheese -- 3oz,softened Ready, set, cook! 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease square pan, 9 x 9 x 2 inches. 2. In small saucepan melt butter; remove from heat. Stir in cocoa, blending well; set aside. 3. In small mixer bowl beat 2 of the eggs until foamy; gradually add 1 cup sugar and vanilla, blending well. 4. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; blend into egg mixture. Add cocoa mixture and 1/2 cup peanut butter chips; blend well. 5. Remove 1/2 cup batter and set aside. Spread remaining batter in prepared pan. In top of double boiler over hot, not boiling, water melt remaining 1/2 cup peanut butter chips. 6. In small mixing bowl combine cream cheese, remaing 1/4 cup sugar and melted peanut butter chips; beat until smooth. Add remaining egg; blend well. 7. Spread cream cheese mixture over chocolate batter. Drop reserved 1/2 cup chocolate batter by spoonfuls onto cream cheese layer. Use knife to gently swirl top of batter into cream cheese layer for marbled effect. 8. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or just until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan. Cut into squares.
