Default Green Bean Relish

Green Bean Relish



6¼ cups malt vinegar

1½ cups sugar

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

1 tablespoon flour

1 tablespoon dry mustard

1 teaspoon turmeric

¼ cup malt vinegar



Trim beans and slice diagonally. Peel and thinly slice onions.



Combine vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper in a large pan. Bring to a

boil, stirring, until sugar dissolves. Add the prepared beans and

onions. Return to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer 5 minutes. Spoon

mixture into warm, sterilized jars and seal.
