Green Beans and Potatoes:
Meat of your choice...Neck bones or ham hocks My fav is Moose Polish Sausage. Red or white potatoes Fresh Green Beans. Trimmed and cleaned. Put the meat in the pot w/enough water to cover and cook until it is done. Add the potatoes and some garlic/salt/pepper. Continue to cook until potatoes are tender. Turn down to a simmer and add the green beans to the top and steam until they are done. This is great w/big chunks of bread and butter. Even better the next day. |
