Night Before Breakfast



10-12 servings



Ellen Steiner, Temperance, MI, Monroe Street Methodist Church



1 lb mild sausage 4 slices bread cubed,

6 eggs 1 cup grated sharp cheese

2 cups milk



SUSTITUTES: 1 LB CHOPPED HAM

chopped chiles to taste.

1 cup hot pepper cheese for the sharp, or any
pecentage that you wish

Brown sausage and drain, set aside.

Arrange cubed bread in bottom of greased 9"X13" baking dish.

Place sausage over bread and sprinkle cheese on sausage. Beat eggs and milk
together and pour over bread, sausage and cheese in baking dish.

Refrigerate overnight.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

VARIATIONS:

Add 1 tsp. Of dry mustard and 1 tsp. Salt to egg and milk mixture.



Sustitute 2 cups plain croutons for cubed bread. Add 4 slices of bacon.
Fry bacon to a crisp, drain and crumble it. Sprinkle bacon over top of
casserole.
