Christmas Jam

11 ounces of dried apricots
One 30 ounce can of can pineapple chunks (regular)
3 1/2 cups of water
8 ounces of maraschino cherries
6 cups of sugar

In large saucepan combine apricots, pineapple and syrup; let stand 1
hour. Cook until apricots are tender. Add sugar and cook slowly until
thick and clear (216ºF. on thermometer). Add cherries; cook few
minutes more (220ºF.). Pour into sterile jars.
