Default Oven French Fries

Oven French Fries

Ingredients:
4 large baking type potatoes
8 cups ice water
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. pepper flakes
1 tbsp. olive oil

Scrub the potatoes and cut into 1/2-inch strips. Place the strips
into ice water, cover and chill for 1 hour. Remove potatoes and
dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. Place the garlic
powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and pepper flakes in a
plastic bag. Toss the potatoes in spice mixture. Place in shallow
baking pan. Drizzle or brush with olive oil. Cover with aluminum
foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking
for an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Turn
the fries occasionally during baking. Makes 5 servings
