Wacky Cake



3 cups flour

2 cups sugar

1 tsp. salt

6 Tbs. cocoa

2 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. vanilla extract

10 Tbs. melted shortening

2 Tbs. vinegar

2 cups warm water



Mix flour, sugar, salt, cocoa, and baking soda together well. Level

and make 3 wells. In one well put vanilla extract, in second melted

shortening, and in third vinegar. Pour water over all and mix well.

Pour into 13 x 9 pan and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. Cool and

dust with powered sugar or frost with buttercream icing. Also great

served with cherry pie filling and whipped cream
