Default Hot Milk Cake

Hot Milk Cake

Preheat oven to 350

Grease and flour tube or Bundt pan

1 c. milk

1 stick of butter

2 c. flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

4 large eggs

2 c. sugar

2 tsp. vanilla

In a small saucepan, bring milk to a boil, turn off and add stick of

butter In a small bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt set aside In

a large bowl, beat eggs til very frothy, gradually add sugar,

constantly mixing, turn mixer down and slowly add flour mixture, beat

until all ingredients are well mixed. The secret to a light cake is

the a lot of beating ! Add vanilla to hot milk and butter mixture,

stir and then slowly add to cake batter, again mixing very thoroughly!

Pour into pan and bake for approx. 50 min. When cake is done, run

knife around edge of pan and let sit for 5 min. You can serve this

cake warm or cool and dust with powdered sugar! You'll love it!!!
