Default OATMEAL BREAD

Stick to your ribs and very good

OATMEAL BREAD Hanover Inn NH Its educated bread from

Dartmouth"

2 c boiling water

1 c quick oat

2 T shortening

pour boiling water over oats and shortening

1/2 c molasses

2 t salt

1 square or 1 package dry yeast

5-6 c flour

Cool boiling water with oats and shortening. Then knead until smooth

just like "down on the farm". Turn into greased bowl, let rise till

double. Make into either 4 small or 2 large loaves (I do two). Let

rise again, and bake at 350 for 50 minutes to an hour. Grease crust

with oleo as soon as it comes from oven. --Wonderful for the hips.
