Default Easy Beef Stew

Easy Beef Stew

2 lbs. top sirloin steak

1 12oz. to 16 oz. can crushed tomatoes

1 large white onion, cut up

8 oz. to 10 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced or whole

4 to 6 carrots, sliced

3 lbs. white potatoes, peeled and cut in 1" cubes

4 beef bouillon cubes

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

Pepper to taste

Garlic Salt to taste

Thicken with: 1/3 to 1/2 cup cornstarch plus water.

Cut the steak in 1 inch cubes. Brown in a large dutch oven or stock

pot. Drain off any fat. Stir in the can of tomatoes. Add all other

ingredients (except cornstarch), then add enough water to fill the

pot. Let this simmer, stirring occasionally, until all the vegetables

are done. Then thicken with 1/3 to 1/2 cup cornstarch mixed with 1

and 1/2 cups water. You can season with a little Kitchen Bouquet to

this if you like.
