Default GARLIC STEAK SANDWICHES

GARLIC STEAK SANDWICHES

Sandwich rolls (sweet or sour dough)

1 tender steak (NY strip, or even London Broil will work),

trimmed of all visible fat

1 bulb of fresh garlic, minced, pressed, or finely chopped

1/2 c. (aprox.) Olive oil

1/2 stick Butter or margarine

1 t. Garlic salt

1 T. Garlic powder

Steak sauce (A-1, or your favorite)

Cut beef in very thin slices, against the grain (for easier chewing).

Add half of the garlic to olive oil with garlic salt and garlic

powder. Pour over beef slices and toss to coat. Allow to marinade,

stirring several times, for 30-60 minutes.

Drain beef and pan-fry in hot skillet until done throughout. Drain

again to remove any extra oils.

Add remaining half of the minced garlic to butter. Cream until smooth

and spread on both inside halves of sandwich rolls. Place under

broiler and toast until lightly browned. Add generous amount of steak

sauce to both halves of rolls, then layer on the beef slices.

Tremendous served with a small green salad and homemade french fries!
