Bulgogi
2 lbs sirloin steak, sliced very thin 1 1/2 Tbsp sugar 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 tsp fresh grated ginger 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped 1 Tbsp sesame oil 3 scallions chopped Rub sugar into beef and let it sit for 2 minutes. Mix together all other ingredients, add to the beef and mix well. Let sit at room temperature for at least one hour, or let sit overnight in the refrigerator (Note: it is very important to let the meat marinate as this is what gives the beef its distinctive flavor. If you do not marinate, it will not be as good.). Place meat on a pre-heated grill or on a hot lightly-oiled skillet. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, turning frequently. |
