2 oz sugar water 2 and half oz marg 5 oz self raising flour pinch of salt Slice fruit and lay in pie dish with a little of the sugar and small amount of water. Rub fat into flour. Add the remaining sugar and pinch of salt, mix well and sprinkle thickly over the surface of the fruit. Bake in moderately hot oven 400 F until the crust is golden brown, about 20 to 30 mins. |
