6 oz puff pastry
strawberry jam whites of 2 eggs 4 oz castor sugar Line shallow pie plate with the rolled out pastry and bake blind in hot oven 450 F. When cool, spread with jam. Whisk the egg whites until stiff and fold in nearly all the sugar. Spread over the jam, sprinkle with the remaining sugar and return to a cool oven to crisp the meringue. |
