Default Sorry to intrude/ Fried Bread

I have searched for years for the recipe my Granny and Aunt's made

It was so simple but I was a kid and did not care at the time

I know it was simple, and had flour and maybe s few other ingredients

You just mixed up a batter,,, was not sweet,

and fried them up, They looked like pancakes, then rose up

Toasty crisp on the outside and like very cool bread on the inside

my relatives (all dead now) used this recipe in l stead of store
bought bread

Please Please e-mail me if you know how to make these,

This was probably in the 1940-50's
