Default Watermelon Sherbet

Watermelon Sherbet


Servings: 9 servings.


What you need:


Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
5 cups watermelon -- seeded and cubed
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 envelope unflavored geletin
1/4 cup water
12 ounces evaporated skimmed milk


Ready, set, cook!


1. Combine first 3 ingredients, cover and chill 30 minutes.

2. Place watermelon mixture in container of an electric blender or
food processor.
Top with cover, and process until smooth, set aside.

3. Sprinkle gelatin over water in a small sauxepan, let stand 1
minute. Cook over
medium heat, stirring until gelatine dissolves, remove from heat.

4. Combine watermelon mixture, gelatin and milk. Pour into freezer
container of a
5-quart hand-turned or electric freezer.

5. Freeze mixture according to ther freezer manufactuer's instruction
or until firm.


Nutritional Information:

122 Calories (kcal); trace Total Fat; (3% calories from fat);
3g Protein; 27g Carbohydrate; 1mg Cholesterol; 46mg Sodium
