Jell-O Charlotte Russe

Serving Size : 8 servings.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1/3 cup sugar
4 egg yolks -- slightly beaten
1 pint milk -- scalded
1 package lemon jell-o
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup cream -- whipped



Ready, set, cook!



Combine sugar and egg yolks. Add milk gradually, stirring vigorously.
Return to double boiler and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Add to milk and egg mixture. Chill.
Add vanilla to cream. When Jell-O mixture is slightly thickened, fold
In cream. Chill until firm. Serve with lady fingers.
