Default Apple Pork Chops

From: "Julie"
My Grandmother made a wonderful pork chop dish. She layered pork chops
with slices of apple and onion. There was some sort of liquid poured

over
the top and brown sugar. She covered it and baked it. It had a great
sweet and sour taste. I really loved this and wish I had asked for the
recipe while I could get it. I hope someone out there has a recipe

which
is something like this. TIA

This may be what you are looking for. I have had the recipe for years and
do
not remember just where it came from.

Ron

Apple Pork Chops

2 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 apples--peeled, cored, and sliced
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 Tbsp brown sugar
4 (1/2 inch thick) pork chops
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground cloves
ground black pepper to taste
3/4 cup hot water

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Heat oil in large skillet. Sauté onion in oil
for 1 minute, or until tender. Remove onion and set aside. Brown pork
chops on both sides in oil. Place chops in an 8x12 inch baking dish and
sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Cover the chops with the apples and
cooked onion. In a small bowl combine brown sugar, mustard, cloves, and
water. Pour over chops. Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 30-45
minutes. Serves 4.
