Default Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

An answer to the request for a super moist chocolate cake

Chocolate mayonnaise cake

2 cups unsifted flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1-1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1-2/3 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup Mayonnaise
1-1/3 cups water

Grease and flour bottoms of two 9x1-1/2 inch round baking pans. In medium
bowl stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and baking powder; set aside. In
large bowl with mixer at high speed beat sugar, eggs and vanilla,
occasionally scraping bowl, 3 minutes or until light and fluffy. Add flour
mixture in 4 additions alternately with water, beginning and ending with
flour. Pour into prepared pans. Bake in 350 deg. F oven for 30-40 minutes.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes. Remove; cool on wire racks. Frost as desired.
Garnish with sliced almonds. Makes two 9-inch layers.
