Italian Beef Brisket
Savory Baked Beef Brisket Brisket Of Beef Italian Beef Brisket 2 lg. onions, diced 2 stalks celery, chopped 4-5 lb. beef brisket 1 env. Lipton onion soup mix 2 cans Contadina Italian sauce In baking pan, place onion and celery. Place meat on top and sprinkle meat with onion soup mix. Add the 2 cans of sauce, along with 1/2 can of water, to the pan. (Not over the meat.) Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 3 hours. Remove foil, baste meat with gravy and bake for another 1/2 hour, uncovered. Savory Baked Beef Brisket 1 (4 to 5 lb.) beef brisket (ask butcher to remove fat) 1 bottle chili sauce 1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix (dry) 1 can of Coke Mix all ingredients together and pour over meat. Salt and pepper. Put in roasting pan and cover with tin foil. Bake at 350 degrees for at least 4 hours. Brisket OF BEEF 3-4 lb. brisket 1 med. sliced onion 1 pkg. Lipton Onion Soup Mix 1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes Salt and pepper to taste 1/2 cup water Heat oven to 350. Put onion on bottom of covered roaster. Season meat with salt and pepper. Sprinkle onion soup and stewed tomatoes on meat. Add water. Cover and bake at 350 for 3 hours. Remove meat and pour gravy into food processor. Slice thin and pour gravy over meat. Reheats well. Serves 6. -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia D. Hill at .
