Just got this recipe from my dear friend, Karen who just pulled them out
of her oven. She said they are very, very moist muffins. Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Muffins 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 cups all-purpose flour or 1/4 cup wholewheat flour and rest plain flour 3 ripe bananas, sliced 1 cup chocolate chips. Mix together. Put in greased muffin tins. Bake at 350 15 to 20 minutes. Toothpick comes out clean, but not crunchy on top. Makes about 15 to 18 muffins.
