Anne Bancroft's Tamale Pie

Hi,

I found this recipe in one of the ladies' magazines ( Family Circle,
Woman's
Day, etc.) sometime after we were married in 1985. I used to make it - my
husband really liked it. We were both in the Air Force, and moved a lot.
It's gotten lost somewhere - hope someone has it.

Subject: Nuremberg Sausage Recipe Wanted

Last year I was in Nuremberg, Germany and had a wonderful wurst called
simply Nuremberg sausage. They were small in diameter, probably using
lamb casings, about 8 cm long, and served grilled, three at a time, on
round buns. They have been around since medieval times.

I have looked in cookbooks at all the bookstores near my condo and did
a search in Google. I found many references to these sausages, but
never a recipe. The closest I found was an ingredient list, but without
proportions.

If any reader has a recipe to share I would be grateful. I would love
to make a batch as they are great.
