Default Taco Party Salad

Taco Party Salad

submitted by rosskat
from NY, USA

1 lb ground beef
taco seasoning to taste
1 head of iceberg lettuce coarse chopped
4 ripe tomatoes chopped
1 small can of sliced black olives drained
1 small red onion chopped
1 12 oz pkg of shredded cheddar cheese or more if desired
1 Pkg of Doritos brand cheese nacho chips crushed, use as much as desired
OR use crushed corn chips or tortilla chips
1 bottle Catalina or French dressing
Alternate Dressing: Combine equal amounts of sour cream and salsa as
needed

The combination is very delicious. Everyone always asks for this recipe.

Brown the beef and season with taco spices , drain of any fat and cool
completely. Everything can be prepared ahead of time but do not combine
until serving time or salad may get too soggy. To assemble, combine
everything except the dressing. Add enough dressing to moisten and toss
before serving Note: for a different dressing one may use the sour cream
and salsa combination.

Yield: 12+ servings
