Default Beet Jelly

Beet Jelly

6 large beets
water
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 package of Surejell
1 package of Kool-Aid, any flavor
6 cups of sugar.

Peel and slice 6 large beets. Cover with water and boil until color is out
of the beets. Drain and use 4 cups of juice. Add 1/2 cup lemon juice 1
package of Surejell 1 package of Kool-Aid, any flavor Bring to a hard boil
and add 6 cups of sugar. I have not made this for about 30 years, so the
directions are vague, but I believe I followed the general directions in
the Surejell package for cooked jelly.
