Hey, George! Have you ever dried jalapeños and then ground them? Art
Simon (used to post to r.f.cooking) has sent me some over the years --
in a shaker jar; he calls it Texas Gunpowder. Great stuff!

Yup, dried them to break up and put in bread that I added cheddar cheese
to also plus some dried minced onion. Makes a tasty southwestern bread.
Never tried them as powder to sprinkle though. Jalapenos don't have much
flavor or fire to me unless they've been smoked. I don't even grow the
wimpy little things anymore. Now, I could dry you some Aji Limons and
send them to you to sprinkle over stuff. Probably would warm that
Southern Canada house right up. BSEG
