Crazy question but blackberries are out of season now and lots of people are requesting bb jam----can I use frozen ones ir I can find any? Thanks! Our blackberry season here in the Southwest is fickle at best. Our local grower freezes most of her batch and I've never had any problems using them for jam. BTW - about 1 pound is 1 dry quart is about 4 measuring cups mashed. Best of luck. Edrena |

I won blue ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair in 2001 and 2002 for my Blackberry Jam made from frozen berries. I'll bet lunch and drinks that the folks who make it commercially use frozen berries, too. -- -Barb (www.jamlady.eboard.com updated 10-10-03; check the PickleHats tab) |
