Default Blackberry Jam

Crazy question but blackberries are out of season now and lots of people are
requesting bb jam----can I use frozen ones ir I can find any? Thanks!

Our blackberry season here in the Southwest is fickle at best. Our local grower
freezes most of her batch and I've never had any problems using them for jam.
BTW - about 1 pound is 1 dry quart is about 4 measuring cups mashed. Best of
luck.

You certainly can. I won blue ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair in
2001 and 2002 for my Blackberry Jam made from frozen berries. I'll bet
lunch and drinks that the folks who make it commercially use frozen
berries, too.
