Default Mini Jars

What are the smallest canning jars that I can use? 4 oz maybe?
Where can I find them? Are they hard to can?
I'm thinking of making apple butter but we won't use much and I would like to
put it in the Home Made Christmas baskets that I'm planning for my family this
year.
Thanks!

Hi Kat! Check out Walmart. I've found jam jars there;
they are pretty small. They're even pretty. :-)

Good luck with your apple butter!

Thanks Minty
My jelly making days have been derailed by a new exercise program and diet. I
did find the mini jars at Walmart though thanks for letting me know.
Another GREAT use for them is to freeze my home made baby food in. They are
the perfect size, freeze and microwave perfectly and travel well!
And you know how hard it is to send salad dressing in lunches? It seems any
type of those little plastic containers that I have used leak. They are great
for sending dressings in DH lunches.
So .. now that I have all these uses for them I need more. I better make
another trip to Walmart and buy a few cases.
So .. when I am ready to start making jelly again ... I'll have tons of them!
lol
