I didn't preserve anything today.
I did find a f'real Bron Mandoline at Glenside's New Life Presbytarian Church thrift shop. Older one - the handle's wood not plastic. In line, people asked me how much they had it priced, I'd show them the tag and their heads would explode. $10. http://www.chefknifes.com/bron_mandoline.htm This is not a tool for Stupids. I played with it after cleaning it. You could seriously damage yourself making a wrong move. I love it when tools are not equipped with Stupidity Restraint Systems. :-) |

I saw someone get a deal on jelly jars yesterday. The going price at
rummage sales in this area is 25 cents (Canadian currency) per jar. I was watching an elderly couple inspecting two dozen at a garage sale. They offered $3 and got them. I had been considering an offer of the full $4 asking price but had bought a bunch at a rummage sale the previous day and didn't really need more. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ William R Watt National Capital FreeNet Ottawa's free community network homepage: www.ncf.ca/~ag384/top.htm warning: non-freenet email must have "notspam" in subject or it's returned |
