I made some jam last night. This morning when I checked the jars, the lid
on one poinged down when I pressed it. But then it stayed down, and every time before when a jar didn't seal appropriately the lid would poing down when pressed but poing back up. So does this jar go in the fridge or on the pantry shelf? Anny |

Anny When I get one that does that I pick it up lightly by my fingertips and hold it about a quarter inch off the towel it was sitting on. If it's going to hold the seal you won't pull the lid off. I still give it an extra mark and put it in the front of the stack or put it in the fridge, just in case. Waste not, want not. George |

Anny It's usually a good idea to wait 24 hours before testing for seal. It certainly won't hurt the jam to be in the fridge, sealed or unsealed. Ellen |
