Default Old time raisin candy

I have heard about an old recipe using raisins to make a hard candy, I guess
it is similar to a brittle. Have any of you heard of it, and do you know
how to make it.

Also, my grandmother used to make a chocolate cookie that was very dry,
domed up in the center when done, and was covered with frosting to make it
more moist. We believe cocoa powder was used rather than chocolate bars to
make it. Do any of you have any ideas.

Thanks in advance. Dwayne
