I have seen that the latest guidelines say that you should heat the turkey
strips to 160F before dehydrating for safety. Ok, I'm fine with that, but how can I measure the temp since the strips are cut thinner than the meat thermometer probe? I have just been heating in a 250F oven for about 12 minutes.Is that about right? |
