Hi all, This news server is now closed this means no new posts will be made available on this server or any of it's aliases such as news.ntlworld.com, news.virgin.net, news.cable.ntlworld.com, news.ntli.com etc This is because we have migrated to a new binary news server news.virginmedia.com The new binary server offers many more groups, allows unlimited connections and articles are kept for longer. Please create a new account in your news reader pointing to news.virginmedia.com now. How do I set it up? If you're an Outlook Express user, follow the instructions at http://www.virginmedia.com/customers...ress-exntl.php but at step 6 enter news.virginmedia.com instead of the old server name. Remember that you can only access the service when you're on a Virgin Media Internet connection. Please ensure that you DO NOT enter any username and password details for this server. This would prevent you from accessing the server. If you have problems If you have any issues please connect to the news text server text.news.virginmedia.com and post to the virginmedia.support.usenet group What's happening to the Text server? At this point we're not making any changes to the text server and it will continue to be available at text.news.virginmedia.com -- Virgin Media |
