Default Happy Thanksgiving

Miz Anne, Tilly Dawg, and myself wish all who celebrate a Happy and
Prosperous Thanksgiving.

Today we're having a friend over for baked turkey breast, green beans I
put up last fall, corn on the cob from our freezer, sweet potatoes
(store bought), fresh baked bread, and a double crust pear pie from pear
slices I canned earlier this year. A bountiful feast for three adults
and a wee dog.

Tomorrow we leave for our daughter's home to celebrate again on Saturday
when all of her kids and grandkids can be there. Probably pretty close
to the same meal but the three adult kids and spouses or significant
others, plus one teanage boy still at home, and two greatgrands will
probably eat it all up. It is indeed a joyous occasion and we forgive
the Puritans, aka Pilgrims, for taking our land and misusing it. BSEG

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Both of my sons are here. We will be having our usual -- turkey,
dressing, mashed potatoes, broccoli,, cranberries, pumpkin pie. Just
having the kids here makes it all worth while.

To me that's what Thanksgiving is all about, family and friends. We were
away from our family for more than five years in the early eighties and
thoroughly missed the family gatherings although we had many new friends
to celebrate with. We lived in a community with 149 different
nationalities and many of them enjoyed Thanksgiving Day dinner with us.

In our case, just having the kids (all adults) _not_ here is a godsend.
