My little dog Sleepy went to sleep yesterday after exploratory surgery
found she was full of cancer, liver, pancreas, and stomach. She will be sorely missed as she had been my constant companion and canning partner for over eleven years. Sleepy watched with interest anytime I was in the kitchen with the canning supplies out. She always knew that she would get something good to eat, even if what I was making failed and turned out to be pancake syrup. Miss Sleepy Dawg Shirley had been a fixture on several gardening lists and other spots on the internet for her whole life and had actually won a couple of "Best Looking Dog" contests via internet. Her ashes will be scattered under the trees that were her favorite shady spot in our backyard. George |

We lost our "Puppy" the day before Christmas after being with us for 19-1/2 years. According to the conversion table at http://www.onlineconversion.com/dogyears.htm her human equivalent was 91 years. She wasn't the smartest dog in the world but was always happy go lucky without a nasty bone in her body. Maybe that's the trick. Ross. |

Best dog we ever had, and that's saying a lot because we've had several good ones. I think it was almost as hard on us as when my father-in-law died (btw, we liked my FIL) so I know sort of what you are going through. Bob |

Services will be held in the backyard as her ashes are scattered around the fruit trees that she loved to nap under and by the berry bushes where she used to steal berries for snacks. We do miss her greatly and thanks to all who responded. George |
