Default Question about Okra

I have a great okra crop this year. I like bread and butter pickles. would
it be possible to make bread and butter pickled okra. has anybody on the
group ever made this recipe.

I was also considering making hot bread and butter okra,

pickling cucs will probably be at a all time high this year, all the rain in
the rio grande valley has made the fields too soft to get in and pick
cucumbers. but I will have a bumper crop of pecans, unless some calamity
strikes.

thanks

You could try it, Michael. The only okra pickles I made were more like
dill pickles (sour) than B&Bs -- sweet-ish.
A Google groups search should turn up my B&B recipe -- my husband's
nagging at me to take a nap. . . . ,.

I make my okra pickles with just a bit of local honey - about a teaspoonful
or three to the jar. I like it, and I like the honey perfume. Go for it I
say, and let us know how you like it!
