Default Two quart narrow-mouth jars

I am interested in finding two-quart narrow mouth mason jars, preferably
Ball. They used to be available but my understanding is that the Ball
two-quart jars are now made only in the wide-mouth version. I would be
interested in getting perhaps a hundred of them.

The Ball narrow-mouth mason jars took a blender base and blades. They
had the right thread for that purpose, hence my specific interest. If
anyone else makes narrow-mouth jars in that size I would appreciate
pointers to a source.

Right now it does not have to be a highly reliable long-term source. I
can look for that later. I do need to lay hands on a fair number of them
reasonably quickly.

My thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Shankar!!! Ohfer!!!
Do they have to be tempered -- suitable for canning?
You might check the people at Freund Container -- call their customer
service folks at 800-363-9822 (www.freundcontainer.com, too).

Well, they probably do have to be tempered. I had not thought about
that. They have to be reasonably heavy-duty, too. We will wash them in
a lab glassware washer, which uses quite hot water and it is probable
that they will bump up against each other now and then in the washer.

Thanks for the pointer.

Shankar, any canning jar uses the same rings, so I can't see how they
would have different threads. Go to any estate sales and auctions in
your area, you can probably get them cheaply there. I doubt they are
available at EVERY auction or estate sale, but a lot of them will have
them. Kitty
