HomeCulinaryJournal's Flavorwave Oven Review:

My family purchased one for me for Christmas and it has finally
arrived! I have had the unit for a few days now and am thrilled with
the unit's performance.

The first night it had arrived, I decided to test it on a frozen
solid, single bone-in Chicken breast. I followed the recipe for BBQ
Chicken that accompanied the unit (without the BBQ Sauce). within 35
minutes, I had a piece of chicken that was crispy and golden on the
outside and fully cooked and juicy on the inside - really great
roasted chicken flavor.

The second night, I trusted the unit to 2 rib eye steaks. They had
been seasoned and frozen. I also halved an acorn squash and buttered
and seasoned it. Total cooking time was 30 minutes, turning the steaks
and rotating the squash 15 minutes into the cooking time for even
exposure to the cooking dome light. The steak came out meduim, nice
and pink on the inside and the squash was excellent. We usually
prepare squash in the microwave and the Flavorwave roasted the squash,
giving it an excellent full "pumpkiny" flavor.

Since you can cook food from frozen in the Flavorwave, it is better to
pre-season your food prior to freezing, because seasoning food after
its been frozen is pretty ineffective, since the seasonings tend to
fall off of the frozen surface. I can't wait to try other recipes on
this product.
