Here is my review for the Melitta MEMB1B Mill & Brew 10-Cup
Coffeemaker. You can rate the review at my site he http://www.homeculinaryjournal.com/m...=article&sid=7 Product Features: - Grinds coffee beans to choice and brews coffee at preset time - Clock/timer can be programmed to begin process up to 24 hours in advance - Seven grind settings, from coarse to fine - Stainless-steel filter basket eliminates need for disposable filters - 13-1/2 inches high by 9-1/2 inches wide by 7 inches deep I found learning to use the Melitta MEMB1B Mill and Brew was simple; I was able to have it up and running in no time. Clean up is easy. The coffee is ground in - and brewed from - the same basket, so there is only the one basket that needs to be maintained. The machine is programmable, so you can wake up to a freshly ground pot of coffee in the morning. The unit remains on for 1 hour after brewing the coffee, to protect the flavor of the coffee. Those who like to tap their pot of coffee several times after the coffee has brewed, has found to this feature to be a problem. I found that if I want to turn it back on, I just hit the 'Mill' button and hit start. This will keep the grinder from turning on and the warming plate will kick back on. (That is the process for brewing pre-ground coffee...). The only drawback that I have experienced is that the coffee seems to brew too quickly, with the water passing through the grinds too fast. Since you are able to adjust the grind, I found adjusting it to a smaller grind and increasing the volume of coffee adjusted the taste of the coffee back to where it should be. www.homeculinaryjournal.com Recipe Exchange, Forums, Live Chat, and More! -Don't forget to sign up for our free newsletter... |
