LOL! My mom had the "coppertone" appliances in a pumpkin (read orange)

Horrifying decor by today's standards, but they were very good days.

Don't kid yourselves.. I think those colors have come back again....? I
swear I saw a harvest gold fridge beign sold someplace in the past year
or so???

Ohh,Nooo! I remember so well how eager many people were to get rid of their
white appliances, my parents included. In an of itself, the coppertone stuff
wasn't all that bad. It's what they combined it with. Personally, I'd opt
for black today. I don't care for stainless steel. The only thing that puts
me off white is that it doesn't stay very white over time.

Cleaning it with 91% isporopyl alcohol pretty much gets off everything,
restoring the nice whiteness.

Your poor competition doesn't stand a chance. Even against the dirt
chunks. What's the blue stuff amongst the jams?

One is blackberry jam, one is blueberry jam, and one is cherry chipotle
relish. :-) I posted about the relish to r.f.preserving -- it started
out like jam . . . LOL!

I just scored 6 jars of Knott's blackberry preserves for $2 ea. I
also bought a pkg of Albertson's frozen marion berries ($1.50/lb) to try my hand
at making smoothies and jam. They were moldy.

Yick! Which Albertsons? Mine in S. Natomas would have taken it back,
did you happen to try that? Having said that, maybe it wasn't worth
the bother.

I love the way you win competitions with "mistakes". Just goes to
proove "it's all in the marketing".
