Default Golden Hot Buttered Rum

Golden Hot Buttered Rum

none

2 cups pre-made Tree Star Splenda sweetene
apple drink
= (or sugarfree apple cider mix)
1 cinnamon stick
1 1/2 tablespoons Splenda or Diabetisweet
1 teaspoon brown Sugar Twin
1 teaspoon artificial honey flavor; (optional)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup dark rum
2 tablespoons cold unsalted butter

In a small saucepan, heat pre-made cider mix, cinnamon stick, sweeteners,
honey flavor, and lemon juice over low heat. Bring slowly to a boil and
let simmer for 2 minutes.

Meanwhile, pour 1/4 cup rum in each of 2 mugs. When cider is ready, pour
into mugs. Discard cinnamon stick. Top each drink with 1 tablespoon
cold
butter. Serve immediately.

This recipe yields 2 servings; 5 carb grams per serving.

I hate recipes like this. Giving American brand name products as
ingredients makes them completely useless. I notice diabetic websites do
it all the time, as if Americans had some sort of monopoly on the condition.
