I happen to like the cheese soup as - soup! Mixed with milk, of course. I
add vegetables to it (minced onion, garlic, bell pepper, grated carrot) and
dried herbs (thyme, parsley) and a dash or two of hot sauce or a sprinkling
of cayenne pepper. Serve with some nice toasted bread. Good on a chilly
day, but then I eat soup year round. G I realize spring is upon us, but
after the nasty storms that came through here last week it got cold again!
Perfect weather for cheese soup!

Otherwise, you can always use it to make dip for chips. Mix in some fresh
salsa.

Jill

Ok, there was this cheese soup recipe but I can't recall it. A friend
served it at an event. It was used as a dip for tacos as you say but I
never got to aske her for the recipe. She split up with her hubby so we
never see her anymore. Don't know why that happens, it just does. But
the dish was really good. I wish I knew what it was.

Saute some onion and minced fresh jalapenos in a little oil. Use as
much jalapeno as you can stand, and a proportional amount of onion. Add
a can of condensed cheddar cheese soup, and some Velveeta cheeze (I
don't remember how much Velveeta, maybe a pound but probably a little
less.) Heat and stir until smooth. It's much better than when made
with just Velveeta, and it doesn't get so thick and rubbery when it cools.

Well you didn't name the soup I use in this but

1 can cream of Celery soup
1 large can salmon
2 cups frozen peas
milk or cream to desired consistency

Mix and heat and serve over lovely vol au vents.

Yum

Boil 2 lbs. chicken pieces in just enough water to cover (salt & pepper and
a couple of bay leaves in the water) about 30 minutes. Remove and cool the
chicken (discard the bay leaves). Stir in 2 cans cream of chicken soup and
1 soup can measure of milk. Debone the chicken and add the meat back to to
the broth/soup mixture. Bring to a low boil. Simmer until the mixture is
slightly thickened. Serve the mixture over freshly baked hot biscuits.

You forgot the pimiento and/or green pepper!

I like to do this dish with with cream of onion, but I think cream of
chicken would work with chicken breasts and cream of celery with pork
chops:

Season chicken breasts or pork chops, brown on both sides, then top
with the cream soup and simmer until the meat is cooked through.
Serve it with rice, potatoes, or noodles.

Not to canned cheese soup, no. But I have made (from scratch) beer-cheese
soup which is very tasty!
