Default Food Comedy..But, it's on Food Network

Yes, the awaited day is here, in an hour or so, 11a.m. PDT, that pale
imitation of Martha, on her Home-made show will show us her Easter
bunny cake.

Will also be shown a/c to Yahoo, Mon, 4/10 at 5:30 p.m.PDT, and, will
be deviling up next Sunday's schedule at 11 a.m. PDT. So, look for her
in your time zone.

And, if you really want to comment on this show, go over, register
(it's easy), and vent, on http://televisionwithoutpity.com. You'll find
a bunch of like-minded folk who give Sandra Lee and her supposed
culinary skills, the exact respect they deserve.

Don't miss this show, or, set your TIVO or VCR!! You will want to watch
this over and over, whenever you need a laugh!

Happy viewing! LEE

I've been watching FoodTV all afternoon and some of the morning
and it wasn't on here in CDT zone either.

It was on at 11 am EST on Dish in my area.
Bunny Cake: Cookie Bake. Bunny hotcakes with apple butter cream; bunny
cut-out cookie bouquet; bunny cake.On again at 5:30 pm EST 4-10.

I enjoyed Gaida's TV show today - new one -- her frontage is not so upfront,
and she swallowed a hole mouth full of linguini. No cuts.
She must've listened to some of her fans/viewers.

I am really liking Giadia better and better. LOVE her cooking and
recipes! Still cringe when food goes near her mouth though.

How did you like today's Nuddie - um, Gnudi? Looked like something I
want to make this week.

Gnudi
Recipe courtesy Giada De Laurentiis
See this recipe on air Saturday Apr. 15 at 7:30 AM ET/PT.

Recipe Summary
Difficulty: Easy
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 8 minutes
Yield: 6 servings

1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
1 pound frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 cup grated Parmesan
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
5 tablespoons all-purpose flour, plus 1 cup for coating
1 jar store bought marinara sauce, heated

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

In a large bowl, mix ricotta, spinach, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and
yolks. Stir in nutmeg, salt, pepper, and flour. Form mixture in to
small, flattened balls.
Dredge the formed gnudi in flour to coat, tapping off the excess.
Slide formed gnudi into the boiling water. Be careful not to overcrowd
the pan; work in batches if necessary. Remove the gnudi using a
slotted spoon after they float to the top and have cooked for about 4
minutes.

Arrange gnudi on a platter and lightly drizzle with marinara sauce.

I had Giada set up to record and when I checked on it, it was several
minutes into it. I was so ticked off about missing it, but I watched it and
it was hard for me to focus on it because I was wondering what I had done
wrong setting up the DVD recorder. But I see that it is on again sometime
in a few days and I will be able to record it and watch it with better
concentration.
But yes, it looked absolutely delicious.

I was cringing too when I saw here take a bite -- but by golly, she did it!

I have something Italian that I'm putting together tomorrow, so that will
satisfy my Italian tastebuds for a few days.

She's rapidly becoming my favorite. This weekend I made a chicken
recipe I saw on her show last week (no idea what it's called, but it had
marscapone and dijon and marsala in the sauce, plus onions and shrooms)
and it was fabulous. Made so much we're having leftovers tonight, and I
can't wait.
