Not really... Even the fossil evidence does not explain the extreme
racial diversity?

But, other things do. I'll leave it for you to find them.

Spoilsport! :-)

I got into that for the sheer fun of it.
Why won't you play along?

Because you're a witch. No...wait...

Did you happen to see the PBS (might've been Nova) show about Evolution 2
years ago?

Nope. I quit watching TV pretty much altogether when mom died.
That was about 3 1/2 years ago......

I have, however, had basic zoology and other biology courses where they
trace the evolutionary ladder from the amoeba. I've no doubt that
primates evolved here, but am open to other possibilities. Nobody has
ever found "the missing link" afaik?

It has about as much credibility as creationism, in that you have
completely ignore all the real evidence in favor of magical crap.

Psst....wanna buy a crystal?

ROFL!!!

Ever been to the quartz crystal mines in Hot Springs Arkansas?
A rockhound paradise!

One does not have to believe in the mystical powers of crystals to enjoy
their sheer psychedelic beauty. :-)

No, but I have a friend who knows some great sources of Herkimer diamonds.
If I told you where, I'd have to l*** your p**** until you **i*t**.

Probably Mt. Ida. :-)

You're kidding, right? All their cookies are awful. I just make a
contribution and tell them I can't eat cookies. This amazes them.

I encountered them outside World Market in Davis and I asked "are they
made from natural ingredients?" and they looked at eachother and laughed
and finally said "I doubt a single ingredient is natural!".

I doubt there was ever a merit badge for atheists, considering the BSA's
general stance on religion.

LOL... you know I meant the UU church's tolerance of atheists, right??

There's a little bit of interesting stuff on TV. This particular show about
evolution included a description of an experiment involving smelly t-shirts.
Hang on - I need coffee.

Still there? So - these researchers asked a bunch of male volunteers (at a
college) to sleep in the same t-shirt every night for a week or whatever the
time period was. The t-shirts were stuffed into ziploc bags during the day
so they wouldn't pick up other scents. At the end of the week, they
collected the t-shirts and asked a group of women to open the bags, smell
the t-shirts, and record which ones smelled most attractive to them. Most of
the women chose shirts worn my men with ethnic backgrounds different from
their own. The researchers theorized that our pheremones are more than
simply attractants - they may function in some way to encourage the mixing
of chromosomes.

IIRC, it was a "Nova" episode. Your library might have tapes or DVDs
available.

Not so bad... We were told in our biology class (when discussing the
concept of "normal skin flora (bacteria)" about an experiment done on
some folks that were assigned to the arctic. Evidently bathing water was
limited so the asked for volunteers to forego bathing for a 3 month
period to test for normal flora stability.

Ew. :-P I could never go that long without at least bathing the "sweaty"
spots!

That's fascinating! :-)
Maybe somebody should tell that jerk that was posting from alt.punk
about that. Aryan supremicist asshole.....

I trolled his group for awhile, but got bored.
He was not intelligent enough to make trolling him any fun.
A battle of wits with an unarmed person is not very satisfying.

That's a pretty good idea, too bad Dryers (Edys) ice cream sucks so bad.

You'd think when it wasn't cookie season - say the middle of summer -
they could negotiate with some cookie company to sell special boxes
of thin mints the same way.

Different parts of the country have different GS cookie times. I'm not
entirely sure there is a time that isn't in season, it would make more
sense for the baking companies to run all year.

I refuse to buy or even taste any girl guide cookies that are not certified
"made from genuine girl guides".
