Default 'Cooks' brand kitchen appliances

Hi:

We bought a Cook's brand toaster oven from JCPenney (internet).
The unit looked good, bright red, and size wise fit our needs.
Was a convection unit as well.

The downside - it died the second time we tried to use it so back
to the store it went. Ended up buying a 'Oster' brand unit instead
and are very happy with it.

So ... are Cook's brand stuff all trash? We liked the high style/color
just disappointed it failed.

Thanks, Phil

As with all small appliances nowadays, it all depends on which crappy
Chinese factory did the contract manufacturing on any given day. You can no
longer count on a brand name having any meaning at all. Good luck.
